Have a 7mm Mauser given to me and am looking for a little help. Trying to find what FAERICADI ARMAS OVIEDO 1933 means. Tried a search on the net and found nothing. Hope someone can help. Thanks

Are you sure it says "1933" and not "1923?"

If it says 1923, according to my book you have the Spanish Model 1916 Carbine, made at Oveido Spain.

I think that's "Fabrica" as well... maybe why you didn't find anything?

+1 on what allen griggs said, you have a Spanish Mauser. These are good rifles but keep the pressures low on them. They are the reason you find low pressure Mauser bullets in the stores. Shoot it and have fun, but if you reload for this rifle don't ever take it above SAAMI recommended pressures. They are low for this reason. Spanish Model Short Rifle of 1916. You can read about it at your library if you want by looking up Mauser Military rifles of the World by Robert Ball. PG 302.
