I inherited a bunch of guns from my great grandfather and cant find anything on this gun. Some of the markings are:

Revolver Velo-Smith 6mm: On top of the barrel
Gueure Mark A on one side and a buck deer pic with Trademark written under it on the other.

It also holds 10 rounds.

Any help would be appriciated!!

I believe your revolver is Spanish. The monogram on the grip, appears to be the logo/trademark of Garate, Anitua Company of Eibar Spain. They were one of manufacturers of better quality revolvers in early 20th Century Spain. The Brits purchased their revolvers for the Army during the First World War.

Your revolver is quite unique design wise, don't recall ever seeing a large 10 shot revolver chambered for the Velo Dog cartridge before.

Although in not real great condition, a collector of firearms curiousa might have a interest in acquiring it.

quite simply :Velo-Dog was a revolver originally created in France in the late 1800s as a defense for cyclists on their velocipedes, who were likely to be set upon by large and ferocious dogs.[:D]

Fiocchi still exports small quantities, for sale in the States. If you want to try your Grandad's revolver out. A 50 round box will probably set you back at least $50, including shipping though.

Google Fiocchi, go to their site. Either e-mail them or get a list of their distributors from the site, to find out who has the Velo Dog ammo, in stock. It's not common stuff, you might have to do some digging before you find some of it for sale.

Midway USA has it listed as a coming soon item. They have the price set at 37.50, but that could be an outdated price. Sportsmans Guide had some but they are out it was 47 there.
