Will a Sig P226 mag work in a P228?

Thanks

Yes, but it is not flush with the grip. They stick out about 1/2 in.
I use factory 20rd. in my 226 and 228 for matches.

    EDIT,
As I said I've used my 226 and factory 20 round mags in matches doing speed reloads.
Have NEVER hurt a mag [:0]

You need to use some care in putting the magazine into the weapon. Slamming it in can damage the mag body.

On a SIG 'classic series' pistol, when it comes to magazine seating depth the baseplate never comes into play.

The magazine catch alone correctly positions the mag within the grip frame, meaning the overall length of the tube is irrelevant.
