Weapons light for XDM

I'm looking for a weapon light for a Springfield XDM 3.8. This will be for home defence use and I'm really not in need of a laser unit combo. I have looked at several different brands and would like some imput. Two brands I'm considering are INSIGHT and STREAMLIGHT, but am willing to look at others. What about the "strobe" feature, is it worth the extra money? Any guidance would be helpful.

You are looking at two good brands. I have one of each.
Also have a Ledwave Z-5 by Ombu Tactical Lights that is good.

I am assuming that is the compact one. If so the TLR-3 is an awesome light, I have one on my M&Pc. I do not believe it comes in a strobe version. Be aware it takes a different smaller battery that costs a bit more then the CR-123's.

If you can get a full size light on the gun the TLR-1 or TLR-1s are great choices. I would own them now but I have 2 older Streamlight M-6's on the other 2 handguns I keep lights on. If I need another in the future it will be TLR's unless something better comes out.
