Hello, I recently inherited an Iver Johnson 5 shot revolver. I can't find any info on this and need some help. It is 5 shot, top break, dual action hammer, 2 latch s/n G 44820. The barrel and cylinder are blued and the handle is black plastic. The top of the barrel says Iver Johnson's Arms & Cycle Works Fitchburg Mass USA. The owl is looking away from barrel. I read something about it and this was mentioned (I guess the direction of the owl means something.) Any help would be appreciated!!!!

With the owl looking straight at you, it should be a small frame hammer model .32 with a coil mainspring made in 1919. The only other models with a G serial number prefix were .38s made in 1890s.
If you're looking for value, that depends on condition and photos are needed.
Not certain what you mean by dual action hammer but a I have a safety hammerless in that serial number range
I think he means double action.
None of the hammerless models used a G prefix on the serial number. (The full serial number with letter prefix is on the grip frame under left grip)
