"New" Marlin 39

Has anyone had experience with the "new"/post-Remington purchase Marlin 39 rifles? There has been some Internet chatter about poor quality control and FTF and FTE issues. Is this an isolated problem or is this a deterioration in the Marlin quality? Any experience that you all may have had would be appreciated. Thanks.

Marlin was having trouble with the 39 prior to the sale to Remington and both have over come the problems with good customer service. When you pick the new 39 up and you look at it will answer your questions about the new rifles fit and finish. I think that there is a lot of grumbling going on and to think a company like Remington would buy a company and build inferior rifles and run Marlin into the ground just don't make since.
