Lyman #35 Peep sight

Experts,
I bought and old Mauser Sporter Rifle for an Amish man that had been in their family for many years.Pretty fancy gun at one time, two triggers and a walnut wood that looked like it came out of a stump.They had used the gun a lot but it had no pitting or cracks in the wood.I'm in the act of restoring it and it had a Lyman #35 sight on it at one time but they had took the peep off and left the base and put on a scope and lost the peep . THE QUESTION?? I know the #35 in about impossible to find but will any of the other Lyman sights fit in the BASE GROOVE? Thanks ,Harv.
