Portuguese Matchlocks

I have a Portuguese matchlock from the 1500's. It's a hugh thing with a 48" barrel. Not been refinished but stock has been cleaned. I'll post more details and pics later. But just curious as to how rare they are.

    Four to five hundred year old weapons are as rare as hen's teeth. That is with just a few exceptions....stones and rocks have been around much longer! I would like to see pictures of your old matchlock....Joel

    In your posting of details please give good views of any markings, initails, numbers, etc & any info about its history, how you know it it Portuguese, etc. Looking forward to seeing it.
