It meets barrel length restrictions of at least 16 inches, but I am not sure about the Over All Length. I believe that is like 26 inches. If it is shorter than the over all length for a rifle, then it could be classified as a pistol. In short...If the barrel is over 16 inches, there is no NFA paperwork needed.

What is the overall length? Does it have the veritcal foregrip? Does it have a place for the rear stock to attach? All of these things make a difference in the answer.

Believe that the overall length to be legal with out the stock, and with a barrel over 16" long is 27".

Horizontal foregrip, 30"+ overall and it came factory with "fixed" buttstock. Not QD but can be removed.

Federal Law defines the OAL for a long gun "in firing position"...so removing the stock, while it's still legally a long gun, it cannot be fired from the shoulder. And therefore doesn't violate any OAL rules.

Lots of rifles have folding or detachable stocks, and none of them are SBRs by virtue that they are not capable of being fired from the shoulder with the stock removed.

Kommiefornia, being the retard state that it is, measures a rifle with the stock folded. Because they're stupid.
