I have a RG 22 mag pistol that I am trying to get a new cylinder for. I need some help to figure out what model it is. The only number it has on it is 68 and I looked on Numrich and could not find a matching model. Any ideas? Here are some pictures.

I believe that your revolver was made by the Rohm Company in what was then West Germany. The "68" would be the year it was proved, and most probably also the date of manufacture.

Rohm made a whole series of of handguns both automatics & revolvers that are identified with a "RG" prefix. I have a reference showing the models starting at "RG-7", and going all the way up to "RG-88".

Your picture most resembles the "RG-63" model. What the difference is between the "RG-22" and "RG-68" is? Is anybody's guess. At least it's a starting point. Maybe somebody on the Gun Parts Corp site, knows the difference.

In 1968, the year I graduated high school, my friend bought one of these. I think it was about $30. The cylinder was not fitted well at all. My guess is, and it is only a guess, that unfortunately this pistol may not be worth the expense to try to repair. Just a thought.

Thanks for the help. I am pretty sure that the gun will cost more to repair than it is worth but it was left to me by a family member so as long as it is not to much I would like to try to fix it. If anyone knows a website that has a cylinder in stock please send it to me. Thanks.

I could be wrong but that looks like the 22lr/22mag that had interchangeable cylinders for them 29.95 at sears. and altho I know at least 25 people who still have them i think thaey all have either the lr or the mag. cyl. for but nobody has both best to check flea markets, garage sales etc, etc.
