Hello,
I am the daughter of Walter Glodzik, who was a gunsmith in the Reading, PA area from about 1947, after being a 'seabee' in the Navy, to sometime in the 1980's when he retired.

I've heard from a couple of people who own guns that he made and they seemed to think highly of the craftsmanship. I don't have very much info about my dad's gun business and am trying to find out as much as I can.

His shop was called 'Southern Gun Shop' in Reading, PA, and he did alot of custom work, repairs and just about everything to do with guns - he mostly made rifles for deer hunting. I am doing research on his life and businesses and would love more information about the gun business. He was forced to retire in the '80's because of poor eyesight.

If anyone has one of his guns, or knew of him or the business, I would be very appreciative of any info. His guns were also sold from many sporting goods stores in the Reading area. Thank you!

Cathy G.
