I received a family heirloom that I have two questions about.
No, I don't want to know what it's worth. It's a six shot
revolver
(1)On top of the 5 1/2 in, barell it says "MADE BY BEISTEGUI
BROS"-EIBAR SPAIN---This is the only I.D. on the gun. What brand
Is the gun. I am unable to find it anywhere?
(2)On the side of the barell it says 32-20 Long. I know from
this marking that its a 32 cal., but what does the 20 mean?
The gun is missing a part and I need to find this part.
Thanks in advance

See the sticky near the top of the forum page. Note that you should press the PREVIEW button before posting something; if the photos don't show up then, you know you've done something wrong.

Your revolver is a Model 1889 Italian Military Revolver. It was known commonly as the "Bodeo Type". Your particular specimen was the enlisted man's model, ( folding trigger ).

It was made by the firm of Mida & Castelli in Brescia Italy, during the First World War, ( 1918 ).

It's chambered for the Italian 10.35mm Service Ammo, which is still available commercially.

At one time these revolvers had little value. Clean original specimens are now of interest to collectors, though.

Military Handgun Collectors. My WAG is that it would be in the $200 to $400 range depending on factory originality & cosmetic condition.

Post to this Italian Military Firearms forum. For specific information on it's current collectors value. I haven't owned one in years.
