Maximum range of Barrett M107

I have found a very interesting site of a bullett builder:
http://www.rbcd.net/Special Application Ammo.htm
Among these products there is a .50 BMG saboted round with velocity of 5,900 fps (1,800 m/sec).
Who knows, can inform or calculate the maximum range and maximum effective range of a Barrett M107 shooting this bullet?
Thanks.

Ask the Israeli military. They developed this saboted 7.62/.50 BMG sniper round many years ago, but not for purposes of extreme distance shooting. It's true advantage is on engagement of moving targets due to a reduced flight time.

BTW, they also tried a saboted 5.56/.50 BMG load that didn't work out.

Like Txs said, it is better on moving targets. Also it enhances the bullets penetration potential by its increase velocity. Same concept as the 20mm sabot rounds used on the Bradley APC main gun. The smaller ballistic pushed at ultra high velocities packs an ungodly amount of energy and momentum. It is also common with anti-tank rockets. As far as increasing long range effectiveness, other than an extreme increase in flight distance in a short amount of time, I don't believe accuracy will par very well at all.
