Hastings 11-87 slug barrels

They make two versions, both are 24", one is a full rifle, and the second is full rifle with a muzzle break. I assume that the effective length of the bore of the "muzzle break" version of this barrel is shorter than the straight, "no break" version since the barrel. I say this because at the muzzle break section widens from the standard bore and the rifling no longer comes into play. In effect, I think the muzzle break version barrel is 2-3 inches shorter (not counting the muzzle break) than the regular version.

In my opinion, a longer barrel helps stabilize slugs more. I am interested in buying one. My question is, had anyone shot both versions and was any difference observed?
