Any owners of the model 700 Sendero- how well do you find yours to shoot right out of the box (MOA). I am looking at getting one maybe in 7mm. thanks, joe.

I hunted around for a Sendero for quite a while looking for a good deal. Never really found one at the right time (like an idiot I passed on a used one for $600.00 - stupid, stupid, stupid)but I ended up with a new Remington 700 PSS in 7 Rem Mag for $700.00. Has the McMillian stock and aluminium bedding insert. Metal is a very matte black sort of polymer type finish. Haven't shot it a whole lot or worked up specific loads, but even with cheapo factory stuff (Igman or Privi) it was well under 1 MOA.

I think most of the heavy barreled 700s are just variations of the same theme and would expect the Sendero to do under MOA with no problem at all.

I have a Sendero in 300 Win Mag. It was bought new in '95. This rifle will outshoot any other rifle I have ever owned. Reloads with Nosler Ballistic Tips typically stay under 3/4 in. Sometimes well under this (3/8 to 1/2 MOA range) on very good days. This is with full power loads and hunting bullets. I have never tried any Match Kings in it.

I have two Senderos; one in 25-06 and one in 7Mag. Both shoot better than I can hold; under an inch or better with most loads at 100 yards. The only drawback is they're heavy and a little cumbersome if you're doing much walking. . . . . You are not likely be disappointed with the accuracy.
