Colt police positive .38 special

Hi

I have colt police positive .38 special SN: 341756 made in 1928. The bore is smooth and shiny condition but would need a cleaning. Blue Finish I would say is somewhere less than 50% with a few scratches, maybe a little patina??, and the inscriptions are clear. Mechanically perfect.

I would like an expert opinion on how much this would cost, what year is it made, if I am right about the model and all. All help is appreciated. Thanks.

I have your revolver's older brother (#2453xx, 1922) in about the same condition.

    I paid $159 for it in 2006.

Police Positive Specials don't seem to get the same high prices as other Colt revolvers.

If your gun was at any of our local pawn shops it would have a price tag of about $400. Local gun traders would price at $300. Colts have a higher price here where I live than most other places.

ALL the firearms you have shown us still show years of not being wiped down. They are showing signs of rusting. All of them. I believe you were told this about a week ago. The surfaces are absolutely dry. Not good.

Please oil-down the surfaces of these firearms. Thank you. Joe

Based on the apparent condition of this second model Police Positive Special, I'd say $150.00 would be a fair price.
