Adjustment for Yugo rear sight?

I have a Yugoslavian AK that shoots to the left. About 8" at 20yds. I have adjusted the front sight as far as it will adjust. I put a scope on the rifle and it shot great! I have found that the rear sight is off center and is left of the centerline of the rifle. Anyone else have this problem before and can I adjust the rear sight or replace it or replace the whole rear trunion?

Ah, 8" off at 20 yards is a bit much, even for an AK [:D]

You are hitting to the left.
You say you've maxed out the front site adjustment, so it is moved all the way to the left already (correct ?).

Assuming a sight radius of 16 inches, that would call for moving the rear sight to the right about 0.16 inches....but how I dunno. Rear site on my AK is not L/R adjustable.

    Let us know,

If you bought it from a gun shop take it back. The barrel is not stright in the reciever. It needs to be turned [V]

I did buy the rifle from a gun shop. I will send it back. I did not think there was a L/R rear sight adjustment on the AK, but I am not an expert. Thanks for your help.

You are correct, the rear sight is only adjustable for elevation, not windage.
