I have a Rem Rolling block that's been sporterized years ago. It has a Nurmric Arms halfround/half octagon barrel chambered in .444 Marlin. I believe it has the stock steel cresent butt plate and stock on it. Bluing is in excelent condition as is the finish of the stock. It's a nice shooter too. I've owned this gun since the early 70's
Anyhow anyone here care to provide an estimaated guess as to it's value?

Most likely you can get the same $ value out of the action and butt stock as you can the whole gun If it were mine I would sell parted out . I would say $300.00 + or -

Just my personal opinion and I might be biased as I am sort of looking for a big bore single shot but I think you would do better than $300 if you put it up for auction. The link below is for a similar item but is a reproduction not a rebarrelled original. Your gun is of interest to a collector only for the parts that are original but as a shooter it should be similar to the reproduction except that 45-70 is a more desirable chambering for most shooters

This auction has a bid of $525 with two days to go. Does yours look as nice. Does it have good sights, the peep sight could add as much as $100 to the price except the one on the auction needs a part.

If yours was a nice shooter I would think some people including me would gladly give $300 but you won't get as much as the gun listed unless there is something special you have not told us.
