Grips for a sw1911

I just purchased a used S&W 1911 and want to replace the grips. I see many 1911 grips for sale on GB---with most stating "Colt 1911"----will these grips fit other brands of 1911?

I have large hands and currently have the same Hogue Grip on four different 1911's...two Colt, a kimber and a Springfield...Not sure if it fits the S&W...

If you really want to get some nice grips for it, do a member search for "oldemagics" and send him an e-mail. He makes custom grips for 1911 style firearms. He also does very good work.
