Night vision scope

I want to put a night vision scope on an AR15. My rifle choices are a RRA AR with a bull barrel, no flash hider, and a RRA, 20 inch barrel with flash hider. My question is this. Will the flash from the hider barrel interfere with the night vision scopes field of view?

I shot many rounds out of a M14 in Nam with a star-light scope mounted. The M14 had a flash hider of sorts and maybe because of recoil /noise I Blinked at each shot and never noticed the muzzle flash in the scope.. How ever if a M79 shell exploaded it was like looking at a PRESS 25 flash bulb and you were useless with that eye for over 5 minutes. I ended up shooting left handed most of the time to save my right eye for up close when parachute flares were used.

I guess the determining factor would be the quality of the scope. When I was in the military I used generation 3 night vision (PVS-14). I was never blinded, as described by perry shooter.of course there is a huge difference in technology between the starlight scopes of the Vietnam era and modern equipment. I believe the goggles I used would shut off (temporarily) if they encountered to much light, this rarely happened, so basically if the scope is of decent quality I don't think you will have a problem.
