S&W model 29-2 44 mag question

A friend of mine just dropped off a beautiful S&W model 29-2 44 mag that he wants me to list on the auction side. It is nickel finish, 4" barrel, red ramp, white outline sights and has a beautifully fit pair of genuine stag grips. My question is, did the 29-2 come from the factory with a nickel finish? What would the approximate value be for this revolver with no box or paperwork? Do the stag grips add anything to the value? I told him I thought about $600 would be a fair price.

What Henrey said, plus 4" 29s are thought to be classic, if your a "real" 44mag aficianado that is the real deal, Elmer carried a 4" 29.
