I have a pistol, which I believe to be a Colt, the U.S. Patent was made on April 30, 1850. It, of course, has been handed down through family, but no papers are with it, only verbal stories of who passed it down. I would like to know the value of it if possible

    Thank you

I have a Colt .380 semi-auto Mustang Pocketlight pistol. They don't make them anymore and I would like to find out what the resale value is on the gun.

A LOT DEPENDS OF ORIGINALITY, IS THE METAL BLUED (ORIGINAL), OR PARKERISED (WW2 REBUILD), ARE ALL THE PARTS MARKED 'W', BARREL MARKINGS JUST IN BACK OF THE FRONT SIGHT SHOULD BE WRA 1917 (OR 1918). IF ALL OF THE ABOVE +-$1,000 DEPENDING ON CONDITION INSIDE AND OUT. IF NOT +-$500

Mine just has the W on the barrel, no WRA. The pic isn't that great, and I don't remember if it's 11-17, or 11-18. Are you sure about the WRA marking ?

Mike Whiskey is on point as far as his value range. If your rifle is in all original configuration, and at 90%, then you would be towards the higher end. One critical thing, even if all the parts are original, is if the rifle has been re-blued. You stated it has the original blue, that is a big plus. If it has in fact been re-blued, then the percentage of original finish is 0%.

Pictures would help, but they don't always tell the full story like a hands on look does.
