does anyone have a new 12gauge savage slug gun with the accu-trigger and the detachable magazine? If so will your gun laod a shell out of the magazine by working the bolt? I have a older one without the detachable magazine and accu-trigger and it cycles shells fine but a friend of mine bought 3 new ones and is very disgusted with all three guns they will not cycle shells out of the magazine he sent all three guns back to Savage Arms today and said it cost alot to ship them back I feel guilty for encouraging him to buy them by telling him I really liked my gun. I don't understand why Savage did not just make new magazines and fix the problem without him having to ship the guns back

Since the guns were new, he probably could have requested a RMA (Return Material Authorization) and gotten Savage to send a prepaid shipping label for the 3 guns. Regardless, if it turns out to be a manufacturing defect, Savage should pick up the shipping tab both ways.

I had a problem with a new Savage years ago (scope base holes were stripped from the factory). I called the company and at my request, they said that I could take it to my local gunsmith, have it repaired and send them the bill. They had me a check within 7 days.

    Awesome customer service.

    Regards, Don
