Ruger 77V,Unertl ? for old timers

One of my .220Swift rifles is an old tang safety 77V,Ive had a 6x18 redfield mounted on it for 30+years, the barrel is drilled(it has filler screws) for a target block,1 how was the rear target block,mount attached?Where would you find target mount blocks for the gun if I wanted to mount a target model Unertl scope? very best

    My 77V is drilled and tapped for a target scope block on the receiver ring. The holes show fore and aft of the Ruger ring (Assuming you have one with a Ruger base, not a round top for conventional bases.) If you have a round top, just take off the front base.

    I bought a base from Steve Earle. He makes a wide variety.

    Thanks for the info Hawk, mine has the Ruger rings,block holes and filler screws are fore and aft the fore rings,had to put on my new + 3.00 reading eyes!
