Bought a Winchester .22 model 1906 in great working order. Just need your usual Pro's & Con's as I highly value your opinion. Thanks and pics soon.

    CHGOTHNDER,

Bert is boating in an official capacity once again and won't be available until late this weekend.

    Best.

Bert is a very multi-talented individual. It is a good thing that he does not have a pond big enough to collect submarines like he does Winchesters!!!!

OK, I am back on dry land once again[:D]

Your Model 1906 was manufactured in early February of the year 1910. Will need to see the pictures to add anything more...

Bert, I hope you realize we're going to have to dock your pay for your absenteeism. [:)]

edit: That's OK, I think I can afford the pay-cut... I get paid REAL well when I go out with the U.S. Navy on an all expenses paid cruise[:0][;)][:D]

Our tax dollars at work ! There is redemption to us collectors, though. Bert's compensation allows him to a lot of those POS M21's out of circulation !!!!!

edit: Actually, I have been using all of that extra money you taxpayers have been graciously donating to me, to buy up all of the old L.C. Smith scatterguns I can find for use in my vegetable garden (I need more tomato stakes)[}:)][^]

I have not had the opportunity to put my hands and eyeballs on one of them yet, but will offer this... I do not like the 16.5" barrel length (it should have been made with a 20" barrel), nor do I care for the front sight (the pinned blade should be thinner and blued), and the frame and internal action parts should have been made as an exact replica of the original Model 1885.

In the future, please post a new topic when inquiring about a different gun than what the topic was initially about.
