I have a Hopkins & Allen 22 R.F. it has a octagon barrel, swiss buttplate, ivory inlaid front sight, iron buckhorn rear sight, saddle ring on the right side and is a lever type dropblock.Wording on the barrel reads: MADE BY THE HOPKINS & ALLEN MAFG.CO. NORWICH CONN. U.S.A. THE MERWIN HULBERT & CO. JUNIOR PAT.JUNE 28,86 OCT.2,88 22R.F.. Can anyone tell me what it is called or a model number? I need a stock screw and would like to know what I,m talking about! Any info will help. thanks Marv

Passed on it on Sat. Thought about it all nite and went back to get it Sunday. Not only was it not there, but the niether was the vendor. Nooze you loose.
Been watching for them @ auction ever since. So far all I've seen would cost 2X+ to get.
Saw one at gunshow last year. The seller only had about 5 guns and said he was selling off inherited guns. Wanted $150. for the H&A falling block. Complete, appeared to function, decent but dirty patina finish. VERY dirty bore to the point it was impossible to tell if it was any good.

The original poster's rifle, is a falling block that has a lever type ( Winchester? ) actuating mechanism & Merwin & Hulbert markings. Supposedly according to Flayderman, they are much less common then the falling blocks made by H & A without these two uncommon features.
