Hey there! [8D]

Anyone heard of a Sterling shotgun??? No other name or info on the gun to help ID. It IS NOT a Fox Sterlingworth....or at least it doesn't say so anywhere!!?

And what is laminated steel as compared to damascus? Can it shoot modern loads?

Thanks as always!!!

The only Sterling I've heard of was the Sterling Sub-Machine Gun. [:D]

The term Damascus initially referred to forged steel sword blades made with alternating layers of steel and the name is believed to be associated with Damascus, Syria - the middle Eastern area of their origin. The term Damascus was later given to laminated steel shot gun barrels. In other words Damascus barrels are laminated barrels. Modern ammunition can not be safely fired in these old guns. IMHO anyway. the experts might disagree.
