I know....there are a million factors to be considered here! [8D],

Can you just give me an average Chinese AK-47 value??? Does pre and post ban still count toward value? I only have the gun...no box, mags, sling etc.!!

Thanks again,

Jim

Pre-ban Chinese AK's are worth quite a bit more than post-ban era ones with thumbhole stocks and no bayonet lugs (MAK-90). The Chinese weapons were banned in their original design even before the Assault Weapons ban of 1994. A nice 98% pre-ban can bring over a grand while a post-ban carbine brings only half that or less. Prices vary a lot, however. The least I have paid for a pre-ban Norinco was $500; Others cost me over $800. I have bought post-ban thumbholes (MAK-90's) for as little as $300. Pre-ban underfolders seem to bring high prices and any pre-ban "like new in box" brings a good premium. Norinco's are still banned from import into the US and as a result their prices remain high. It's as it has always been; Prices depends on supply and demand. It is not unusual to see pre-ban Chinese AKs listed on auction sites for $1200 and more.

Milled recievers bring more than the stamped recievers.
