Remington 722 barrel swap

Hello, will a new barrel takeoff from a short action Remington 700 have the same thread as a Remington 722 action and be a good, easy for a gunsmith to do replacement?

yes, I have a 257 that has been changed to a 308. The only problem was the front sight didn't line up so we removed it and the barrel contour of the forearm was ground out and glass bedded.

LIKE '47' SAID THE THREADS ARE THE SAME BUT THE MARKINGS/SIGHTS MAY NOT INDEX, HEADSPACE MAY HAVE TO BE ADJUSTED ALSO.
