Which Leupold spotting scope to buy??

OK, thanks to you all & countless hours of reviewing......I am stuck on a Leupold spotting scope (I think...:):) I say this, as I have a Leupold rifle scope that I love dearly (over a prior Burris Fullfield II).
Between a 15-45x60 (#53546)...or a 20-60x80 (#61130)----both straight eyepieces.

I'm going to primarily use this scope at the range, shooting a 30-30 WIN and a 22 LR. Ranges in the 50, 100 & 150 yard area......mostly 100 yards. Down the road, I may take this into the field. Plus, my eyesight isn't what it used to be....

Question: Would the 14-45x60 scope allow me SEE bullet holes @ 100 yards clearly? Or should I go with the higher magnification?
I'm not impressed with the Leupold kits, as the tripod is flimsy and I already have a metal case.
Thanks,
Randy

I have a Leupold Golden Ring 15-40x60 and I know several law enforcement branches use the same one as well as the military. I can see targets and hits very clearly and at 100 yards it is quite easy. I have been very happy with mine since I got it 5 years ago. I have not used the newer Leupold units but would look at them if I was in the market today as they are several hundred dollars less exspensive.

The 14-45X60 is all you will need. I can see 22 cal bullet holes at 100 yds on 14 power very clearly. 25 is has high as I have gone at 100 yards.

If you start to falter and begin to consider buying an inexpensive off-brand scope, resist the urge. The lower end scopes deliver fuzzy, dark images and you will not be pleased.
