I'm guessing you have the order pretty close there. Most of the 99's I see around here are .300 Savage. (Not a bad thing, by the way, though I'd love to lay my hands on a decent .250.)
Of the calibers you listed, the .284 Win. is the rarest.
It was also chambered in, if I remember correctly:
.22 HP
.22-250
.243
.25-06 (?)
.7mm-08 (?)
.30-30
.303 Savage
.300 Savage
.308
.32-40
.375 Win.
.38-55

Curious. When was the 22-250 chambering offered? Would love to have one of those to go with the .250!
1977 to 1980 for the .22-250. I forgot to mention also the .25-35, which was replaced by the .250 Sav. around 1914. It was offered in the model 1899 though. The rarest of all I would imagine is the .375 Win. The model 99 was only chambered in that caliber in 1979 and discontinued sometime in 1980.
....I don't know! What I do know is that they are one of the neatest rifles ever made! Look good, accurate, shoot good and I LOVE them; one of my all time favorite rifle, bar NONE!...[:p]..[^]

Great post! I was thinking the 38-55 was the rarest. Also not sure if any 30-06 based cases were chambered for the Savage 1899/99. Too long?
FWIW, I wish could have about ten of the "Nah...they ain't worth nuthin' " rifles that I let get by me, back.
