Can someone date my model 94?

I just bought a pre-64 Winchester model 94 chambered in 32 Winchester special. The serial number is 20639xx. Could you give me a year and possibly a month of manufacture?

Also I would like to know the approximate retailing value for the gun. It is a standard 20 inch barrel. No saddlering. It has the flip down rear sight and a regular front sight without the hood. It is in appr. 70% NRA condition according to the Gun Traders Guide comparing with pictures of a model 94, maybe even a tad better. It is all original and has no cracks in the wood.

The DOM is circa 1956. Value is subjective and depends on who wants it at any given moment in time, but it should be in the $500 - $600 range if sold full retail. Figure roughly 50% of that amount if you sell it to a dealer/gunshop.
