Mosin Nagant dovetail front sight

I just aquired a 91/30 that was a deal due to it being filty and missing the front sight. It cleaned up really nice and I found a globe sight from a fellow on the ebay. My question is, since I am not a restorationist, can I put a different sight on there with the present dovetail? What is the angle of said dovetail?
