Glock Problems?

I was reading online about the problems some people have apparently experienced with Glocks blowing up, frames cracking, magazines & brass cases rupturing and lots of other fun stuff, and more than one of the posts I read stated that they were known for this ...
The postings I read talked about Glock not standing behind their warranty and their customer service being less than satisfactory, but the warranty info I read states it's limited lifetime, which I guess can be taken several ways!
Is this still a problem? The posting dates I saw were at least a year ago. I'm thinking about getting either a 30 or a 36 and I'd like to know what you guys think. Other postings I saw made no mention of this and everybody raved about their guns ...

EDIT:
Thanks cpermd. That is what I thought. It is amazing on how many times the 45ACP(which was developed to the the auto pistol version of the 45LC), has been tried to be improved up on, and how many failures there have been. Now that is the standard sidearm(45GAP) of the NYS Police, as they firesaled their failure to LE.

In the kaboom photos I've seen, barrels split at the chambers.
