? about Dutch Auction

What happens when you open/start the bid of a Dutch Auction and you are the only one who placed a bid?

I know I would win the auction(because I am the only one who placed a bid) but what price do I pay(Dutch Auction; I know whatever bid amount is for each item)?
Which do I pay? I am the only bidder!
A. The minimum open bid price(amount times the # of items).
B. My Max Bid

I sent the seller an email to request the Grand Total amount including shipping and The Seller's calculations per item was more than my Max Bid!

I sent Gunbroker Customer Service an email asking "What is the Price do I pay" and they replied with I pay my Max Bid. But it seems strange to me because when does anyone ever pay the Max Bid if they are the only one bidding on auction!
I won several auctions before being the only bidder and I would win with the Open Bid price/amount! Is the Dutch Auction any different?

Everything seems different with this Dutch Auction. Seller is telling me something different, Gunbroker Customer Service is telling something different than the normal auction!

Since you were the only bidder, your maximum bid was apparently also your minimum bid. Dutch auctions are confusing and I tend to shy away from them. I think you should have bid the minimum amount and you would have gotten it at that price unless someone outbid you. However, your higher bid was actually your minimum offer to insure that you were a high bidder.

    Spider7115,
Thank You for responding. I read that over and over again.

    Please correct me if I'm wrong! I understand this as;
Line #6 says the winning bidder wins at the Lowest Bid that won!

    I'm I correct?

Do you have a link to the auction in question, or the auction number so we can see what your talking about?

That's the way I read it, too. The lowest bid that won was the bid you placed. Unfortunately, it was also your maximum.

    1man,

    Welcome to the Gunbroker forums!

Please read the Posting Guidelines for the forums. I'm not trying to be rude but these questions regarding Auctions, no matter which type of auction, need to be handled by the Customer Service folks over on the Auction side.

Submit the question again, maybe with more of an explanation or a different wording.

    Best.
