On the model 1890, 22 short, will the loading port on the tube always be made for the short only? Thanks

    I have A Model 1890 Winchester 22 Long pump. S# 242383 My guess is about 20% Any body have any idea what this might be worth.. i know you really need pictures of it to give A good idea.     I have a model 1890 22 long with a serial number 542834. I believe it was made in 1916,I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to see if it is case hardened?

    hello!

    I wanted to know if anyone has a link to find out the history of my model 1890's serial number. It looks to be an early one Im guessing 1901-1902 but I am not certain.

    Its all stock not bad shape what do you think its worth? It shoots .22 WRF

    Winchester stopped color case hardening the Model 1890 in August of 1901. All Second Model 1890s after that date, and all Third Models were blued. Your rifle is a Third Model, and it was manufactured in mid March, 1914.
