I recently came across on of these 9mm shotguns and was wanting to know history and if in good shape what the value might be

    They're pretty much becoming a collectible. They are very similar in appearance to the model 1904 .22 single shot. Rough ones seem to be bringing $300.00 +, and nicer examples go for much more. I rarely see them except at big shows such as Tulsa. I wouldn't mind having one, but haven't ran accross what I thought to be an affordable good one.

    Original shells are also collectible, however I think there is some new production stuff available.

    I have a few model 36's along with a few boxes of original shells. I agree, they start about $300 and go up from there. With the modern Fiocchi shells, they are great garden guns. Sometimes, the shell swells alittle after shooting so you need to knock the empty out with a rod. I think they only made around 25,000 of them.
