taurus 1911 compact and subcompact

i've seen the new compact 1911 taurus has. it has a 4 1/2" barrel and 6+1 capacity (.45acp) finding info on it is pretty difficult at this time. they didn't have a picture on their own webpage but i saw one from the SHOT show and i was wondering if anyone has heard of plans for a "subcompact" maybe a 3" or so barrel? if these rumors are floating around, how about where to find info? release date? specs? thanks in advance again guys!

    It's not in their 2008 catalog but if you saw it at the SHOT show I would bet it will be available soon. You can download their 2008 catalog at their website-just scroll down on the left side of the page til you see Catalog-click on it and you can download a pdf version.
