For practice: factory made 9mm full metal jacket
    would be fine.

Self-Defense: Pick a 115-124 grain hollowpoint. Avoid full metal jacket and softpoint because they overpenetrate, increasing the risk
of injuring a bystander, and have minimal stopping power.

Any of the hollowpoints made by Winchester, Remington, Speer,
or Federal would be a good choice. Pick a round you are comfortable shooting and can shoot accurately. Your other priority is function,
make sure the round you pick functions well in your 92 and does not jam.

If I had pick a round for myself, I would go with the 124 gr Speer Gold Dot. It has adequate expansion while being heavy enough to penetrate to effective depths. Hope this helps.
