I just shot my "NEW" 9mm Colt Model 2000 semi-auto. I 1st used PMC hardball . It stove piped 1st, but worse , it feed the next round failed to cock. I simply pulled the slide back approx. 1/2 to 3/4 inch and then they fired each and all.
Some one said try hotter ammo. I then loaded up withFederal Hi-Power hollow points....exact same thing happen
It has all factory springs and is as out of box.
When it worked i was very pleased to hit the target.
Strong and long triggewr pull too.
Any suggests all you guys?

unfortunately, the colt all american was never known for dependabilty. [:(]
field strip it and clean all the old grease out, then lube it up and try again.
while your in there, polish up the feed ramp.

Wolf springs has a spring calibration pack.
Go progressively lighter in your spring selection till you get reliable ejection, cocking and feeding. Stay with an ammunition brand and RNFMJ till you have the gun working properly.
Do this after the gun is well lubed.
After a lot of rounds have gone down range and the gun has loosened up, try going to a stronger spring to save on unnecessary battering of the frame and slide.
If all this fails get back to us.

My Colt 2000 All American would not feed 115GR ammo at all. Try 124gr to 147GR ball and see if the problem clears.
