have a remington woodmaster model 742 30-06 serial#171616 BARREL CODE CM i think its 1956 exc condition what year? whats it worth?

    In my area I see this model priced around $400, and can be bought in the $375 range. As goldslammer said, prices vary in different areas. I like the 742's, they are a nice looking rifle, and dependable when kept very clean. They just can't compare to the 700 in terms of accuracy though.
