    That the sight that I thought you described, and it's probably the one that tsr1965 pegged as a Marbles. I believe he's correct, but I don't have my reference readily available to me. Marbles also made a better quality sight for the 1890 as well.

    Hi,
    This is the Marble's "Simplex" sight. It was a lower cost alternative to their standard tang sight.
