I just picked up a "Ranger" SxS 12g. I was looking for some help identifying it. I know that Rangers were distributed by Sears and made by Stevens.
I have a Springfield 16g at home as well that is exactly the same as this Ranger is construction and that one has confused me a bit too.

It is the type with Patent marings of April 15, 1915. No model numbers at all.
These guns are similar to the Stevens 311's in appearance; but they have spring loaded firing springs, instead to internal hammers like the 311's do.

My question is, what Stevens model is this type equivelent to?

I need to try and find firing pins/springs for this gun and it would help to know what other branded models would have the same parts.
