I heard that I can send in my BROWNING LIGHT 12 and have BROWNING completely rebuild it. It is a Belgium and built in probably the 1950's. Does anyone know if that is true? Thanks....

That is true. However, they do have a rule. If they work on your A-5, then they will return it completely redone including any parts that might need to be replaced. If you don't agree with that, then they will not do any work on the firearm. I have had several done by them and the work was very good. If you send in a firearm that has cracked wood, then they replace it. If you want to keep the original wood, then I might suggest you give Midwest Gun Works a try. They are able to do restoration work on Brownings and I feel like they can and will repair a crack provided you are willing to pay for it. Do remember, the better the quality of the firearm when you send it the cheaper the work will be. If it has some minor pitting, then be prepared to pay for the additional work that is required and if it is on the receiver and it requires additional polish and then reengraving, then you will be charged for that as well. They (Browning) will send you a estimate/bill and you will have to pay prior to them doing any work for you. Good luck.

When you ship any gun anywhere for bluing , don't ship the stocks with it ! Trust me , they don't want the wood for anything .
