I'm considering purchasing an 1892 LC Smith A2, and would like some input from those knowledgeable in LC Smith shotguns.
In what condition, based on photos in the link below, would this gun be in? I understand that the book value of this gun is $3750 in poor condition.
NOTE: I'm particularly concerned with the repair work that's been done on the gun and I'm not sure how much that devalues it. (last photo - link below)
I truly appreciate any input that you can provide. Thanks in advance!

EDIT Hello SIR unless you have DEEP pockets and this gun has a Family connection I would look very carefully Here and at the Big Time double gun dealers to see if you can buy a gun like this but already in good condition or restored. In my opinion just like High End Collector cars This is a BUYERS market and many times you can purchase a car or gun that has been restored to a high level at pennies on the dollar of what it would cost to have the work done by Doug Turnbull or another high quality restorer. Just my $.02.
