I was wanting to see if anyone had information on this pistol regarding the engraving. This is a S&W Safety Hammerless in .32 S&W. Serial number (127XXX)puts it being a 2nd model, 1902-1909. I have yet to see one engraved like this in my research. I was wondering if S&W had a custom shop at that time. Also, I am not sure of the frame make-up. A friend suggested silver plate but I do not know. It has some minor tarnish but is remarkably clean for a 100 yr old pistol. Any information is greatly appreciated.

That gun is shown on page 321 of the 1902 Sears/roebuck catalog. The catalog picture is dark but I can make out that style engraving. The nickle and pearl grips bring the sale price up to $14.00 even.
Its one dollar more in .38SW. Bob
