FN 1922 Holster

I'm just looking for an opinion on the holster in the auction below. Does this appear to be an original WWII holster that was unissued? I have a 1922 with two Nazi proffed magazines and would like a matching holster to go with it. I just want to make sure that this would be a correct period era holster for this pistol before purchasing. Any opinions/suggestions are appreciated.

It looks way to good to be a 65+ years old holster, to me. Leather is a animal product that deteriorates with age. The holster in the auction doesn't show any great indication of this, IMHO.

Since there at no bids on it, as of this point of time, it seems that most of the collectors of German militaria on the auctions feel the same. They usually jump on minty unissued kraut stuff, like flies on you know what.

Be careful if you buy it. Follow Garys advice vis a vis verifying it.

    Gary/Rufe,

I have made two purchases from this seller before for items of the same period (grips & nazi marked magazine). Both of the other items were of high quality and I was pleased with them.

I can only go on the information I have been told, or examples of holsters for the same pistol on the auction side. This item "looks" the same other 1922 pistols which are being sold with holsters, but it almost looks too good to be true.

Gary, Thanks for the info. Can you describer the "blue light" check for me? If the holster was placed under a blue light, what signs would be visible that are not currently?
