1885 switch barrel?????

hello-has anyone ever heard of useing a savage type barrel syestem on the 1885 falling block rifles like the new browning /winchester????

    I have not seen anything similar on the newer ones, but have seen takedowns on olderones. I actually have an old low wall that is a take down...beautiful little rifle.

    I am sure if any one has seen stuff like this, it would be Bert Hartman, or Bert H as he goes by on here. He is one of the foremost Winchester authorities anywhere, and an avid collector of 1885's...something about them...they don't go bang more than once without having to reload, so you don't ever have to take your shoe off to count shots...[:0][:D][:0][:D][:0][:D]...hehehehe

    I know very little about the newer (reproduction) Model 1885 rifles in comparison to the originals.
