Remington 7600 scope question...

Hello all , in the process of mounting a scope on my rem 7600 and i am using a leupold one piece base. For some reason the base sits very far forward on the receiver making in necessary to use extension rings to bring it back to get a full view through a standard 3x9 scope. My question is to they make a longer tube 3x9 scope to bring it back some more? Most 3x9"s are the same lenth more or less, i want to eliminate the etension rings....hate the way the look. Your thoughts?
