Nikon, Leupold or Something Else?

I'm looking to put a scope on my new 22-250. I would like to spend around $250 or so and was curious what your thoughts are? I'm leaning towards a Leupold VX-I 4-12x40 or possibly the Nikon Buckmasters 4.5-14x40mm A/O (but I'm not too sure how much I want an A/O). I will mainly be using it to hunt varmints (coyotes, foxes, jack rabbits, etc.) Or, I'm open to other suggestions as well. Thanks.

It is one of the finest scopes out there for the price of about $300.00 shipped
to you, along with a no BS warrenty.
AO is a very handy extra to have, and when you figure it out it can be used as a sort of rangefinder.

Good luck in your choice, most top brands are a good offering....

I hesitate on A/O because it doesn't seem like an A/O scope lends itself too nicely to running shots on small varmints. I can't imagine trying to focus your scope while a varmint is running away...Am I mistaken?
Shooting and adjusting while on the run wasn't quite what I had in mind when I said that AO is handy to have[:)]
Set it on a happy medium and use it like a regular scope when things are running.
